about

We here at Almost Honest love our history. We decided to do research on the area in which we live which is in Fairview Township, York County, Pennsylvania. We also did genealogy research on each of ourselves and found that our families have resided here for a long time. Our families are Pennsylvania Dutch with some Quaker backgrounds and have mainly been farmers. This song is about the History of this area including local Native American tribes, fruit, traditions, folklore and geography. We wanted to transfer the listener to this little slice of Pennsylvania that not many people will get to experience.

lyrics

Susquehannock catch the fish
Iroquois mend the wish
Lose lose lose
Watch them fly
Hear the river start to cry

You know I know
The totem pole
My dreams are fast my mind is slow
You think you know
You thought I'd show
Isolated Iceberg

Oak Oak Oak
Where Quakers Dwell
Fields of Paw Paw will not sell
Himmelfaahrt
How dare you sew
Lightning strikes the place you go

You know I know
The totem pole
My dreams are fast my mind is slow
You think you know
You thought I'd show
Isolated Iceberg
